Want to know the best time to be in Bangkok? April 13th - 15th when the city turns into one big water fight to celebrate Thai New Year 🔫💦 It looks like chaos - and it kinda is - but it’s honestly so much fun! When you’re the crowd it’s more wholesome than overwhelming 🫶🏻 people are just there to have a good time! Everyone gets out on the street for three full days & throws water on each other to wash away the bad luck from last year! There’s little kids, grandparents, police and monks all joining in, it’s such a gorgeous time to enjoy Thai culture!! There’s festivals, an insane amount of street parties, and the bars and clubs do Songkran themed parties at night. So you can splash all day, then head out for more fun after. Some people avoid Thailand for Songkran, but I feel like you’re missing out on such a unique experience by skipping it. Where else do see something like this?
