Curveballs are a really good pitch to use BUT… it can be risky🤔 With riseball or dropball, your pitches move up and down in the zone making it harder to hit. But with curveball, your pitches move in the same plane as the barrel from the hitter, meaning one mistake can take what would be a dirty 0-2 pitch into a ball off the wall.
