For today's featured hockey card moment we're going to go back to December 17, 2011 when Teemu Selanne and his Anaheim Ducks made their first visit to Winnipeg after the return of the Jets to this city. Sometimes, as a photographer, you have to go with your gut feeling. I knew that Jets fans absolutely loved Teemu (the former Jet) but wasn't quite sure how big the reception would be. While covering my team at a distance, I decided to keep Teemu close by. When he got to the bench before the anthems, the arena went absolutely crazy. I was standing in a perfect position to capture the standing ovation of the fans and his acknowledgement. This hockey card image became a part of the Upper Deck 2012-13 Series One Canvas subset.
