This picture deserves its own post. Not because of the picture itself, but because of the athlete in it. This is Savannah “Sav” Dixon. She is the lone senior on the LHS softball team. She is continuing to leave her legacy on this program, but not for the reasons you might think. Savannah is the textbook definition of a team player. I’ve always called her the “Yes man” of the team. Need her to pinch run? She’ll do it. Need her to play a position maybe she’s not used to playing? She’ll do it to the best of her ability. Need her to plug the bases? She’s on it. She has always been willing to do whatever is necessary to help the team. In all honesty, she is everything that embodies the phrase “We>Me.” She may not start for the Lady Tigers, but that has never stopped her from being everyone else’s biggest cheerleader and showing up every game with a positive attitude.
