Sarah is a featured participant in this year's Healthy Swings Charity Home Run Derby benefiting the americancancersociety. She is a yoga therapist who helps kids and adults improve their mental health in an intensive outpatient program. She loves meditation, prioritizing wellness and spending time with her family. In early 2021, she began to suffer from debilitating GI symptoms that were dismissed by multiple medical providers because she looked fit and healthy. She lost 22 pounds while waiting for answers. A new primary care provider finally ordered a colonoscopy, which found Sarah, age 42, had stage three colon cancer. After surgery and a grueling 12-week course of chemotherapy, her doctors gave her the declaration that every oncology patient longs to hear - no evidence of disease. Sarah will join broncos players, journalists and other cancer survivors in raising money to fight cancer at Coors Field, home of the rockies, on June 7th.
