According to 2024 data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, approximately 20% of businesses close in their first year after opening, and approximately 65% close in their first 10 years. Surviving a decade as a small business is no easy feat! "10 years ago, I started this company with a clear goal: bridge the communication gap between renewable energy development and rural communities/farm families, like mine. Today, we’re a team of 32, working across the country to support community engagement for renewable energy development. Over the past decade, we’ve contributed to 26+ GW of energy projects, worked in 20+ states, supported 115 rural communities, and impacted over 5,450 landowners and farm families.
