LANCERS RALLY LATE PAST LIONS: The jserra.baseball team suffered a tough defeat on Wednesday evening, as Orange Lutheran rallied to a 3-2 victory over the Lions in the middle game of their Trinity League series at Hart Park in Orange. JSerra jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Sophomore Owen Mescall led off the game with a double to left field and advanced to third on a wild pitch. After a walk to senior Blake Bowen, junior Shane D’Arcy produced an RBI infield single to plate Mescall. Later in the inning, sophomore Jax Janeski walked with the bases loaded to bring home Bowen. Senior Emmett Kopp took to the mound for the Lions and completed the first five innings without giving up a run to the Lancers to keep the Lions in the lead. But Orange Lutheran clawed back to tie the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning.
