In May of '82, The Clash rolled into Asbury Park's Convention Hall to launch the Combat Rock tour. They wanted a gritty working class crowd and we definitely delivered... someone actually tossed a cherry bomb at Joe Strummer's leg. It's a miracle they stuck around for three nights.
