happy thanksgiving🤍 I’m about to get weird and thought daughter on yall: Today is thanksgiving, and theme of today is gratitude. Gratitude changed my life. Thanksgiving used to not mean much to me when I was younger but these past few years it’s meant everything. With the environment I grew up in, I spent a lot of time focused on what wasn’t right, what I didn’t have, and what I lacked. It took going through some pretty painful years to realize; to wake up with a roof over your head and people who love you is already a full plate. My mom taught me, you could be dealing with a whole lot of pain and you could let that factor your life, or you could wake up and choose to love what’s around you. Happiness is a choice. Since then I started to notice that I can open my eyes and see beauty, I can breathe properly, I can hear the birds chirping every morning, I can afford food in my fridge, and I have a handful of people who I love deeply.
