Alberto Del Rio has been released from custody in San Luis Potosí after reaching a financial settlement with his wife in his domestic violence case. Per El Mañana SLP, Del Rio (José Alberto Rodríguez Chucuan) was formally bound over for trial on a charge of repeated family violence at a hearing on Saturday, April 11 at the Centro Integral de Justicia Penal de La Pila. The hearing lasted more than three hours. The judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to bind Del Rio over for trial, but his defense requested an alternative resolution, which was granted after a recess. Del Rio paid 1,130,000 pesos (approximately $56,000 USD) as reparation of damages, and the victim granted legal pardon, allowing the conditional suspension of the proceedings. Judge Paulo César Ramiro Zúñiga ordered Del Rio's immediate release on the condition that he comply with various measures over a six-month period.
