“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” —words we carved into iron and stone, then buried beneath fear, policy, and convenience. What I can’t wrap my mind around is how some watch this and applaud—like cruelty is something to celebrate. America isn’t lost because of one man, but because too many have lost their moral compass. Travel outside this country and you’ll hear it— we’re no longer seen as the example, but the warning. And for a nation once looked up to, that should say everything. You can argue facts, spin narratives, and shift blame— but at some point, the mirror doesn’t lie. This is who we are right now. The question is… do we have the courage to change? pynkbeard #iceontheroad #ladyliberty
