"Don't half a$$ it." We have heard that our whole lives. But what if that mindset is the exact thing keeping you stuck? Personal trainer debra_duby works with women in midlife and she sees this all the time: Women who used to go hard, who used to crush it at the gym, and now they can barely get through the day because perimenopause or menopause has tanked their energy. So instead of doing something smaller, they do nothing. Because if they can't do it the way they used to, what's the point? Her advice? "I would like you to quarter a$$ it." And honestly? This is one of the most ADHD-friendly things I have ever heard a fitness professional say. Because this is exactly what perfectionism and all-or-nothing thinking does to us. We set the bar at what we used to be able to do. we can't reach it. so we quit. But what if the goal was just to keep going? Not to perform. Not to optimize. Just to not stop. That is the whole game right now. Quarter a$$ it. and be proud of yourself for show...
