The future of heart health is being built right here at FIU.🫀 Lucas Menendez spent his time at the fiu_cec researching bicuspid aortic valve disease, studying how mechanical forces drive its progression so we can treat it earlier and he didn’t stop there. He took his research beyond the lab, running campus heart health events and hosting his own podcast.🎙️Now he’s graduating and the work is far from over. 💙🐾
