lufthansa Allegris first class has been a long time in the making (with many years of delays). But did it live up to the hype? Essentially yes. It is a huge, private suite with lots of features- my favorite being the temperature controlled seats. For me, luxury is privacy, space and my senses being spoiled- and Allegris largely delivers a great onboard experience. Areas for improvement- WiFi wasn’t functional (a known issue), champagne was meh and caviar presentation could be elevated. And the First Class Lounge at Munich is nice, but not particularly memorable. Where Lufthansa could elevate the experience would be on the ground- making the check in/escort from plane to lounge and adding spa treatments (or even nice massage chairs). But overall, it’s a huge improvement over the old first class suite, though it’s still nearly impossible to redeem miles for it (I used Amex Pay With Points - 400k points for an $8k ticket via Business Centurion 50% rebate). #thepointsguy #lufthansa #alle...
