This week’s #WhyMoody feature highlights academic advisor Margot Shields! A texasmoody alum, Margot has worked at Moody since the fall semester and loves helping students across every major. Before coming to Moody, she worked as an educational technology specialist at ACC and as an administrative assistant to a department chair. Her favorite part of working at Moody College is the staff. “I love working with a team of compassionate, kind and dedicated professionals. Everyone is genuinely supportive of our students and one another.” When she’s not helping students, you can find her sipping an iced green tea from luckylabcoffee or trying to befriend the pigeons on the Moody bridge. Her advice for students is to take risks, make mistakes and speak up. “Embrace the journey, in all its bumps and curves, and make the most of the many opportunities and resources around you.”
