Björk hosting an eclipse rave in Iceland was always going to generate questions. On April 13, she answered them—confirming a new album due in 2027 and clarifying that ‘Echolalia,’ her immersive event running May through September in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland is not its title, but rather “an umbrella-exhibition-name.” New music will be present at the event, but she’s precise about its status: “I want to be sincere with my fans (who are all of course delicious music-nerds) about the musical side of things: the new music is a version of a song. The final version will be on the new album in 2027.” The rave, set for August 12, will feature DJ sets from Arca, Ronja Jóhannsdóttir, and Sideproject, with more guests still to be announced. As for the album, Björk shared, “5 years passed between my last 2 albums and I enjoyed that enormously, I seem to spend longer every time in the world-building and it is extremely satisfying.” __ #pigeonsandplanes #bjork #arca #rave #iceland
