In 2017, Virgil Abloh opened for Travis Scott on his Birds Eye View tour as a DJ 🎧🔊 This particular moment was from his legendary NYC set at Terminal 5. Virgil treated his DJ set like a live experiment. At one point he played the intro to “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” and the crowd instantly went crazy waiting for the drop. Instead of letting it play out, he cut it early and started blending into other sounds, flipping the moment in a way nobody expected. He was also literally standing on top of the table while doing it, moving like he was part of the crowd instead of behind the booth.
