The NBA basketball season is ending for the Sacramento Kings with tonight’s game (April 12th) against the Portland Trail Blazers. We wanted to show our support for the home team one last time this season. We had to get out some large wood type that was made in the late 1880s by the Hamilton Wood Type Company for this occasion. The typeface is French Clarendon. What Jared letterpress printed states, “GO KINGS LIGHT THE BEAM!” The beam appears over the Golden 1 Center in downtown Sacramento when the Kings win.
