Maritza Flores is a multidisciplinary artist and storyteller whose work explores healing, identity, memory, and cultural transformation. She first discovered art as a tool for survival and self-expression as a teenager who had just immigrated to the US, and now, at 23, continues to create work rooted in emotional storytelling, dreams, and lived experience. Alongside her artistic practice, she mentors young artists through Refuge Art School and helps cultivate creative spaces at Western Avenue Studios, believing deeply in art as a pathway to resilience, civil change, connection, and empowerment.
