A new imaging technique captures more information about ultrafast microscopic processes.
The method captures intensity and phase changes in a single measurement by using a chirped laser pulse to combine the best qualities of time-spectrum mapping, compressive spectral imaging and coherent modulation imaging.
The process could help scientists design new materials, explore biological processes and advance high-power lasers.
