💫 40 years ago, one wish changed everything. Shawn was just 16 when his wish became the very first granted by Make-A-Wish Australia on the 20th of April 1986. Living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Shawn dreamed of seeing his beloved Footscray Bulldogs play in Sydney. That wish came true when he travelled with his dad on his first ever plane ride, met his heroes, and for a moment, the focus wasn’t on illness… it was on excitement and joy. ✨ That single wish sparked something much bigger.
