It's #WeAreCCSD Wednesday! Today, we are highlighting Ms. Olivia Cooks, a campus security monitor at Barry and June Gunderson Middle School. Ms. Olivia Cooks has been an essential part of the Gunderson Middle School community since joining in January 2024. In her role, she serves as a dedicated guardian of our campus, committed to the well-being of every person on site. Ms. Cooks is a dedicated mentor who fosters a culture of trust, integrity, and hard work across the campus. As both a security presence and the boys' head basketball coach, she emphasizes character and accountability, transforming her team into a family through her authentic leadership. By blending high expectations with genuine positivity, she creates a safe and empowering environment where students feel supported in reaching their full potential.
