There’s been a lot of talk about the Trackbarn Champion backpacks awarded at the K-State Relays. To clarify: under KSHSAA Rule 20, these are considered “merchandise,” which puts them in a different category than medals or ribbons. We designed these to celebrate the elite performance of the athletes, but the rulebook has other ideas.
