We recently celebrated one of our extraordinary alumnae whose work helped support NASA’s Artemis missions, and today we’re proud to shine a light on another Rattler who helped lead humanity’s next giant leap. FAMU alumna Lakiesha Hawkins serves as the acting deputy associate administrator for NASA’s Exploration Systems Development Mission Directorate, helping lead human spaceflight development and operations for the Artemis campaign, including Artemis II, as NASA prepares for future missions to the Moon and Mars. Previously, Hawkins served as the assistant deputy associate administrator for the Moon to Mars Program Office within ESDMD, where she led mission-integration activities with agency and industry teams for Artemis missions.
