This morning, on the 2026 Day of Remembrance, the ceremonial candle was lit and wreaths were placed at the memorial to honor the 32 students and faculty who lost their lives on April 16, 2007. The ceremonial candle will burn for 24 hours as the Corps of Cadets stands guard at the April 16 Memorial. Once extinguished at midnight, the flame will be carried back into Burruss Hall, to represent our commitment to never forget.
