Walvis Bay is the only deep-water port on Africa’s west coast south of the equator. Closer to the copperbelt than Durban. Yet for decades it handled a fraction of the trade. That is changing. The Trans-Kalahari and Trans-Caprivi corridors connect it directly to Zambia, Botswana, and the DRC. Namibia-Zambia bilateral trade grew 48% in a single year. Walvis Bay doesn’t need to replace Durban or Dar es Salaam. It just needs to be the credible alternative. In a world where miners want route diversification, that’s enough. #GlobalArbitrage #Geopolitics #AfricanMarkets #Namibia #WalvisBay
