#ad When I set out to walk from Tuscany to Rome on the Via Francigena, I had this wildly unrealistic expectation of what I would find in the Tuscan countryside. The Via Francigena is a pilgrimage from Canterbury, UK to Rome that has been undertaken by pelligrinos for over a thousand years. Some day I dream of doing the entire five month route.
