Several armed men robbed a bank in broad daylight in Naples, holding 25 people hostage.
Police surrounded a branch of Crédit Agricole in the southern Italian city and local media reported that they negotiated with the robbers before the victims could be released, about two hours into the ordeal.
The criminals made their escape via a tunnel, which is believed to have led to the sewer system.
