This wasn’t natural light. It was built to feel like 4PM in a quiet dining room. For this Indonesian spread at ma_de.nyc I used a hard key light from the side, warmed the white balance to mimic sun, and added negative fill to control contrast. Depth comes from shadow, not brightness. So don’t be afraid of hard light and deep shadows.
