Miami-Dade County Public Schools has broken ground on a $34.1M project at Dr. Frederica S. Wilson/Skyway Elementary to build the District’s first Net-Zero Energy School. This 36,000 sq. ft. campus will feature 21 classrooms, art and music labs, a media center, solar panels, and even tennis courts and putting greens. Students will return in March 2027 to a state-of-the-art facility designed to produce as much energy as it consumes, shaping a greener future for learning. #YourBestChoiceMDCPS #GOBprogress Learn more at: news.dadeschools.net/cmnc/new/36603.
