I was more interested in how humans perceive things. When I went to graduate school, I was exposed to human-computer interaction — specifically, a combination of design psychology and computer science. I began to think deeply about how human beings perceive technology, and how we can improve their lives using it. I come from a medical family and helping others has always been my motivation. Having a talent in technology, I asked myself, 'How can I help others?' Seeing someone struggle with technology is very concrete. By using my work, I could break down those barriers and help everyone use technology on a level playing field.
