When I attended the University of Florida, I was able to pursue my interest in the brain by double majoring in psychology and neurobiology, and by conducting structural brain research in patients with schizophrenia. It was an incredible experience that connected my scientific interests with patient interactions and solidified my decision to pursue a career in medicine.
