We’re wrapping up
#HealthLiteracyMonth with our last
#clinicaltrial term: randomization.
Randomization is a process used to prevent bias in
#clinicaltrials by randomly assigning participants into different treatment groups. Details like a participant’s age, sex, or severity of illness might be considered in assigning him or her to a treatment group, to ensure each group is similar. This approach allows two or more treatments to be compared objectively and helps ensure the outcome of the study is statistically valid.
