Though he typically tries to eat local, freelance writer Ted Berg always had a soft spot for casual-dining chains. However, it had been years since he'd eaten at some of his old staples, and he wanted to see which chain restaurants near him offered the best food and value. So, he visited his local Applebee's, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Chili's locations with plans to spend $30 at each.
