Beauty queens, @Trevor Barrett did an amazing video on Ai videos in the beauty space and it had me thinking about where all of this is actually heading 💭 what happens when the foundation of beauty content shifts from education and artistry to manipulation and outrage? For me, it stops being about discovery, formulation, and creativity and starts becoming about who can capture attention the fastest, regardless of truth. And the scary part is how subtle it is. I know for me, it’s not always obvious that something is ai generated, and that blurs trust in a space that already relies so heavily on transparency. So if we can’t trust what we’re seeing, how do we make informed decisions? I’ve also been noticing how black and white a lot of this ai content feels. It often targets specific demographics with really negative hooks, and in doing that, it loses all nuance.
