sol.jerseycity 👇🏽 Today at 11:32 AM community members answered an alert at the intersection of Olean and Duncan Avenue. ICE agents were still at the scene upon arrival and our community members took note of a car that had been left abandoned in the street. JCPD was also on the scene and shook hands with ICE officers before departing. ICE officers were unable to kidnap the person they attempted to abduct after chasing them on foot, but we received reports that 7 other people were kidnapped in West Side. We wholly reject any attempt to justify this terror against our vulnerable community members by any public official. We condemn JCPD’s response to the ICE agents at the scene and reiterate our commitment to abolition. This will not be our normal. Organize against fascism and abolish ICE.
