When fans come to a show, what and who are on stage tend to get all the attention. But the Pollstar Awards recognize that it’s the industry professionals behind the scenes who deserve much of the credit for making every tour happen. It was a great honor to have Lars, on behalf of Metallica, present our Tour Accountant, Chris Risner, with the “Road Warrior of the Year” award. In addition to everything you’d expect from someone in that role, Risner is also hugely instrumental in curating our Weekend Takeover Events and was the brains behind our #BleedingMe partnership with the American Red Cross. Congrats, Chris, on this well-deserved award! We were also humbled to accept the “Rock Tour of the Year” award, which, as you know, wouldn’t be the case without the #MetallicaFamily pouring into stadiums night after night!
