Normalize breastfeeding!!
Breastfeeding my son is way more than just feeding him. It’s our bonding time. It’s what he knows for comfort. Before getting pregnant i always thought i would be too shy or embarrassed to breastfeed in public but when Grayson cried in the waiting room at the doctors office i whipped out my boob and made him feel better. I didn’t think twice about it or nor did i care about the stares. It is natural and needs to be normalized in our society.
Breastfeeding is a hard journey. I’ve wanted to quit so many times. It hurts, it’s tiring and it’s a lot of work. The constant pumping no matter how bad my nips hurt. I cry more often than i like to admit. Waking up every 2-3 hours to pump to make sure my flow is constant. Trying to get Grayson to latch on my other side so that my right side can get a break. It’s a job in itself but once he latches and looks in my eyes i know it’s worth it!
