Been doing some testing. If you've seen your photos being uploaded in crazy black and white, I think what's happening is Facebook is detecting that your image contains HDR information and it's trying to display them properly but it seems to be only showing the contrast layer (the extreme lights and darks). HDR (high dynamic range) images/videos are those ones that look really bright and show the lights/darks very clearly, compared to how things normally look. They contain much more image information than a normal standard image does. If the platform you're sharing them to supports displaying them as HDR, it will. If your image/video doesn't have HDR information, it'll display them as normal SDR (standard dynamic range). One single layer of information. Some workarounds for this until Facebook fixes it: • take a screenshot of your image and post that instead.
