AD My friends over cabotstain asked me to come up with a project that reflects their 2024 Trend of the Year “Retreat” or as they put it “it’s time to celebrate JOMO (joy-of-missing-out) and embrace the simple and slower lifestyle in your outdoor space.” So I made a bench at my new house that is perfect for sunrise coffees and sketch book sessions or evening sunset and stargazing. I tried a few different stains on the 2x6 cedar decking before selecting the Cabot bleaching stain which gives the cedar a nice light weathered appearance.
