Youth sports streaming has rapidly evolved into a multibillion-dollar, tech-driven media ecosystem powered by AI, automation and private equity investment.
What began as a way for parents to watch their kids play has expanded into a scalable media and recruiting engine.
Platforms like Hudl, BallerTV, Pixellot, PlayOn, FloSports and GameChanger now stream millions of youth and high school games annually, often using AI-powered cameras that require little to no human operation.
Private equity is taking notice, with major investments and acquisitions signaling that youth sports is no longer a niche market.
“Youth sports was a sleeping giant asset class,” said Scott Bushman, director of media partnerships for Spiideo, an AI-powered sports performance and video broadcasting firm.
“Maybe for a long time, it flew under the radar.”
