Do I really make it look easy… or did you just miss everything it took to get here? Because from where I’ve been standing, it’s been anything but easy. There were seasons where I was trying to figure myself out while still showing up as a wife, a mom, and whatever everyone else needed me to be, but I couldn’t give everything or everyone the same level of time, energy, and attention every day. And it wasn’t because I didn’t care… I probably cared a little too much! I was just one person trying to carry a lot at the same time, all while learning that I can’t be good for anyone if I’m not making sure I’m good too. And that’s what people don’t see. It took going through those seasons to learn what matters most, what can wait, and how to move through it without trying to do everything, or please everyone all at once.
