Peptides are trending on Instagram but not so much on PubMed! Every second reel promises you’ll build muscle faster, recover quicker, and age in reverse. The catch? Most of the “evidence” is a mouse study, a rat study, or a cell in a dish. Sometimes it’s a human trial with twelve participants, no control group, and a conflict of interest longer than the methods section.
I’m not saying peptides do nothing. I’m saying we genuinely don’t know, because the human data is thin, short, and not placebo controlled. That is not a foundation for injecting something into your body several times a week.
Before you hand over your credit card, ask three questions. Is there a randomised controlled trial in humans? Is it longer than a few weeks? Was it for healthy folks? If the answer is no, no, and no, you’re not an early adopter. You’re the experiment.
Resistance training, protein, and sleep remain undefeated. They’re boring. They also work.
