Omaha Supernovas put together a strong weekend that in all likellyhood ensured they will make the playoffs with 2 games to go. It started Thursday, Merritt Beason led the way on her birthday with 15 points in a sweep of Orlando, as the Novas tied a franchise record with 13 blocks. The win gave them a 6 point cushion between them and the Valkyrie. Then Sunday, Beason followed it up against her former team in Atlanta—16 points, 14 kills, and another sweep. As a team, Omaha hit a franchise-record .413 and totaled 27 blocks across the two matches. The Supernovas now sit at 13-13 on the season, solid in 4th place with 2 matches to go.
