PROJECT HIGHLIGHT
DePauw’s South Asian Student Society went to Area 30 on Monday morning to teach a cooking class! They taught a group of students how to make chicken tikka masala from scratch. It was a great team building exercise and a way to broaden their food horizons! Thank you to the Student Mini-Grant for making this possible!
Our recipe that was used so you can make it at home!
For one serving-
2-3 Lbs of chicken thighs (boneless)
For the Chicken marinade-
1/4 cup greek yogurt
3-5 cloves of garlic, mashed
1 inch nub of fresh ginger (diced finely)
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tbsp garam masala
2 tbsp turmeric (if not in the masala)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cardamon
salt to taste
For the sauce-
2 tbsp ghee
1 large onion (red)
3-5 cloves of garlic, mashed

1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tbsp garam masala
2 tbsp turmeric (if not in the masala)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp cardamon
