Meet Coconut, the newest addition to your Birmingham Zoo! 🦥🥥 This female Linee’s two-toed sloth came from the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo in New Jersey. She is about seven years old and loves her new habitat in the Predator Building. Coconut lives next to the new binturong, Sandy. 🤎 Often called the “slowest animal in the world,” Linne’s two-toed sloths spend 90 - 95% of their lives hanging upside down sleeping and eating. 💤 These sloths are native to South and Central America.
