The Phillies are getting their ace back. Zack Wheeler will make his season debut Saturday vs. the Atlanta Braves, Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Tuesday. Wheeler was placed on the injured list to start the season after he had a blood clot removed from near his right shoulder and thoracic outlet surgery in 2025. The three-time All-Star last pitched for the Phillies on Aug. 15, but completed a five-game minor league rehab stint on Sunday. The Phillies have struggled so far in the 2026 season, and will look to snap a six-game losing streak Tuesday night against the Chicago Cubs.
