What if the secret to finding more good in your life… was just deciding to look for it? 🔴🚗
Let me introduce you to the Red Car Theory.
The idea is this: once you tell your brain to look for something — a red car, a color, an opportunity — it starts finding it EVERYWHERE. Not because those things suddenly appeared. They were always there. Your brain just finally got the memo to pay attention.
And that’s exactly the seed I’m trying to plant in my high schoolers this year.
In my media class, we turned this theory into a real experiment. Every student was assigned a specific color. Their mission? Go out into the world — on campus, at home, in their everyday life — and photograph that color as many times as they can find it.
Because when you’re actively searching for something, your brain filters out the noise and locks in on what matters. And my hope is that they start to realize: if your brain can be trained to find a color… imagine what happens when you train it to find the positives. ...
