That glass bottle in your fridge? It’s done this before. Our cream-top milk travels in reusable glass that gets returned, washed, and refilled an average of five times per bottle. More than 2.75 million bottles come back to us every year, which means millions of containers that never see a landfill. But the sustainability story starts even before the bottle. Our milk comes from 13 certified organic family farms in Marin and Sonoma Counties, most of them within a short drive of each other along the Northern California coast. Short supply chains, multi-generational farmers, pastures that have been tended organically for decades. The land here is part of the product. We didn’t build this model for Earth Day.
