Barcelona stayed alive by downing Crvena Zvezda 80-72 in the first-ever play-in game at Palau Blaugrana. Barça earned the right to play against Monaco at Salle Gaston Medecin in a win-or-go-home game for the eighth playoff seed on Friday. Zvezda was eliminated in the play-in for the second consecutive season. Will Clyburn and Kevin Punter led the winners with 22 points apiece and Tomas Satoransky added 11 for Barça. Codi Miller-McIntyre paced Zvezda with 19 points, Jared Butler scored 16 while Jordan Nwora had 11 for the visitors. Clyburn buried 6 three-pointers and set a club-record with 18 first-quarter points to give Barça a 29-21 lead. The hosts extended their margin to 47-33 at halftime and then again to 54-33 early in the third.
